/ Our approach to commissioning /
Commissioning is a process focused on anticipating quality for the benefit of operations. It is a management tool designed to achieve real energy savings while reducing building operating costs.
Commissioning is defined as a set of tasks to bring a new installation up to contractual performance levels, and to create the conditions for maintaining them.
The scope of the commissioning process generally covers technical installations (HVAC systems: heating/ventilation/air conditioning, plumbing equipment, electrical installations, building automation and control systems or BMS) and all equipment linked to the control of the indoor environment and fire safety in one or more buildings.
Our commissioning approach begins as early as possible in the project's planning phase. It then continues throughout construction, right up to the commissioning of a new or renovated building. It extends to the first years of operation.
By guaranteeing better durability and longevity of installations over time, it reduces their overall operating costs, minimizes the risk of breakdowns and contributes to the long-term enhancement of real estate assets.

Commissioning is designed to meet the client's expectations. It ensures that operating, cleaning and maintenance teams take effective charge of technical equipment. It also makes it possible to anticipate and monitor occupant comfort and health standards, while optimizing and reducing the site's actual energy consumption. Finally, it ensures, where necessary, that they comply with environmental certifications and comfort quality labels such as HQE, LEED, BREEAM, EFFINERGIE, WELL or OsmoZ.
In the context of the BACS decree and the decree relating to the Tertiary Eco-Energy Scheme, which sets a 60% reduction in energy consumption (compared to a reference year defined between 2010 and 2019) in all tertiary building complexes of over 1,000 square meters combined by 2050, its importance is crucial.
/ Sinteo expertise /
Backed by its design office, Sinteo offers the most appropriate technical solutions and is capable of optimizing large-scale real estate assets. Depending on the requirements, we call on our qualified engineers who hold CBCP (Certified Building Commissioning Professional) certification, which attests to the skills and experience of a professional in the field of Commissioning and Retro-commissioning.
We work with clients on several types of buildings (offices, hotels, collective housing, etc.) and in five areas:
- Design: Anticipate potential operating problems and optimize building maintenance.
- Site supervision: Accompanying teams during construction.
- Acceptance: Tests, acceptance tests, technical installation performance tests.
- Transmission: Ensuring that the teams in charge of construction provide the necessary technical knowledge to those who will be in charge of operation.
- Monitoring: Seasonal tests during the first years of operation and monitoring of consumption and maintenance quality.
We remain particularly attentive to the technical sobriety of the solutions we employ and to the conservation of resources. Even though customer expectations are driving the increasing technological complexity of buildings, we are convinced that this is not always necessary.
