The diversity of existing environments on the Caux Plateau, where the project is based, is an asset for the design of the development. The goal, therefore, is not to standardize the whole area but, on the contrary, to create a harmonious interplay between the plateau’s landscape and the project: wooded hedgerows, wetlands with a large moat, an orchard, and meadows will all be elements that provide spaces conducive to the well-being of users and biodiversity.

By utilizing a diverse range of native, nutrient-rich plant species; creating vegetated areas in open ground; preserving a natural swale and its emerging bramble thicket; and establishing a vegetated ditch, ACM’s design team ensures that local wildlife has a place to take refuge, reproduce, and forage, thereby promoting the return of biodiversity to a former agricultural plateau.
