Competition winner
Located on the banks of the Seine, the nearly 50-meter-tall Wood ’Up tower—with 15 wooden floors—will offer 132 housing units and serves as a true testament to France’s forest-to-construction industry and sustainable urban development.
During the design competition phase, as a thermal and fluid engineering firm, we proposed innovative solutions to combat the urban heat island effect and ensure summer comfort in a glass-curtain-wall tower, notably through the use of spacious terraces measuring up to 40 m².
Our initial studies indicate a level close to the thermal regulation requirement—30%.
Guided by Macif's flexibility and usage requirements, we are managing the BREEAM certification process for the renovation.
In a large tertiary park adjacent to a natural area, a redevelopment project was undertaken as the prime contractor for green spaces to promote permeability and natural breakthroughs up to the building foundations.
We translate the client's expectations into an ambitious acoustic program, focused on occupant comfort.
